Walk the Talk...Day 3 Challenge - National Cheeseburger Day!

Day 3 Challenge - National Cheeseburger Day.

In my last blog i asked the question "what could be harder than the first day of a new routine? " Well, i found something....Day 3 and it's National Cheeseburger Day and all my favorite burger joints are offering huge discounts on delicious meat stacks! I love a good burger, and i especially love a good bargain. What is a bargain and burger loving girl to do?

When i started this challenge, I found my inspiration with Life In Focus, so i decided to fall back on my Life In Focus wellness teachings and stay the course. That doesn't mean that you can't have a little fun with the ingredients and have a little indulgence, as long as it is in moderation. If you need some inspiration check out my Enlightenment by Email subscription service and the REAL Women's Night Out events in Torrance, CA.

For my meal planning i had set up a menu for today that did not include a cheeseburger, however, it did include ground turkey, so i decided to modify my meal plan and include a little bit of cheeseburger fun. What recipes do you have that are "cheeseburger" flavored/styled? Let us know on the Community Forum.

Healthy Cheeseburger Action Plan:

1) With my newly cleaned out refrigerator and pantry, i didn't have a lot of traditional cheeseburger toppings, but i decided to go with the following:

1 slice of Sandwich Thins (I like the top the best)

1 Handmade Ground Turkey patty

~ patty was made with diced green onions, minced bell peppers, and chia seeds

Roma tomato slices

Loose bagged lettuce

Smashed avocado

1 slice Ultra Thin Cheddar cheese

2) I prepared the turkey patty until fully cooked and then set about stacking everything on top of the single Sandwich Thin. Got out my knife and fork and dug in to the deliciousness! My family is not on the same diet, so i went ahead and made them regular cheeseburgers, and they said those were good too. I didn't find myself feeling left out or sad about their food versus mine, and in my book, that is a WIN!

One thing about life you can always count on, is not knowing what obstacles are coming your way. The more prepared you are, the better you will be able to handle those unexpected situations. I am happy to have you all along for the ride. What have you done to prepare for the unexpected?
